Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano, commonly called the “Triple Concerto”, with its exuberant energy and brilliant character, is one of the most celebrated blendings of chamber music and concerto. By utilizing a sextet instrumentation of piano trio, second violin, viola, and bass, ensemble132’s chamber-music rendition of this Concerto captures its richness and scope of orchestral colors while highlighting the interpretive sharpness and rhythmic vigor of a keenly attuned small ensemble.

In ensemble132’s arrangement, a more collaborative form is created wherein soloists join in the orchestral tuttis as well–but not just by doubling the “section” parts. With such a continuous energy from all performers, our arrangement of Beethoven’s Triple Concerto can certainly be described as a riveting, high-octane interpretation.
